After Nate and I unloaded the clown car we made a little run to the Town & Country Market down the street. We went down to the bulk spice area so that he could pick up a few things to fill up the jars we bought at Ikea. This is a much better way to purchase spices, in my opinion. The jars in the normal spice aisle are usually more than I can use up before the expiration date--and they're not cheap. This way, Nate was able to spend just a few cents on each of the spices he purchased. And if he doesn't use them up before they go stale it won't be such a waste.

When we walked past a display of these veggie chips, Nate asked me if I'd ever tried them. I had no idea such things existed, so he grabbed a container for us to snack on while we assembled furniture. Anyway, we didn't have a chance to break into them before I had to leave, so the veggie chips kept me company on the ferry :)
Totally YUM. Can't wait to see if they have this at Central Market, too. But if they don't, it's probably a good thing. They are totally addictive and although they are veggies, I think the fact that they are (possibly) deep fried negates any health benefits.
You are in luck, sister! They should carry them at Shoreline's Central Market, they carry them at Poulsbo's Central Market. I discovered them while stocking them when working at CM's bulk food section during my college years. YUM!
ReplyDeleteooOooOo...veggie chips! Nate turned me on to those too when I visited him in Poulsbo. Super addictive!
